The island of Ist is an offshore island with perhaps the most interesting diving locations in the Zadar area. For decades, it attracted divers from all over Europe, who explored the Ist seabed and the numerous islands, islets and rocks around it. From now on it is again possible to dive on the Ist, thanks to the newly opened diving center Zmorac.
In Zmorac, it is possible to arrange tourist dives at locations around Ist in small groups, up to four divers. Diving courses according to NAUI standards are also conducted. It is possible to find diving equipment and fill diving tanks with air. The diving spot Zmorac is not open 24/7, but by appointment. It is necessary to register by e-mail. It is possible to dive all year round.
Enjoy Ist
The island of Ist offers the opportunity to enjoy not only diving, but also walking along archaeological trails through the untouched nature of the island. Ist is also known as a gastronomic destination with many restaurants and a place with a large beach for family enjoyment. Many sailors place the island in the central part of their cruises in the middle Adriatic.

Eco-Ist: cIstimo otok
This year, the first weekend in September was again the date of our big ecological action. This year, over 70 locals and guests gathered to clean the entire coastal part of Široka Bay, and after that, about twenty divers cleaned the underwater area of the communal port of Široka. Several cubic meters of waste were collected again, which was transferred by two tractors to a waste container in the bay of Kosirača. The action was again supported by all caterers and businessmen of the island, so lunch was prepared for the participants of the action.
2023 Project
Eco-Ist: cIstimo otok
In September 2023, Zmorac became involved in the environmental action of cleaning the seabed of the island of Ist. About twenty divers and thirty other locals gathered at the event, and helped to clean the local port of Široka. Several cubic meters of waste were removed from the sea, which was transferred to a waste container in Kosirača Bay. After the campaign, which was supported by all the restaurateurs of the island, a lunch was prepared for all the participants of the campaign.
